About Blissful Lotus Yoga

Blissful Lotus is located in beautiful downtown Plymouth NH. The 600 square foot studio occupies space in a nicely renovated lower level of a former Main Street market. Directly across from the historic common, the studio is surrounded by unique shops, art galleries and restaurants. We have a variety of yoga class styles ranging from ultra-gentle Restorative Yoga to the more athletic Vinyasa Flow. Our teachers are dedicated and experienced and just plain nice to be around. Join us for a class or two, we'd love to meet you!

Plymouth is located in central New Hampshire, in between the lakes and the mountains. Driving time is around 40 minutes from the Lakes Region and Meredith to the south and Lincoln/Woodstock to the north. Around 10-30 minutes away if you are coming from Campton, Ashland, Holderness, Bristol or Waterville Valley. A great place to practice Yoga in NH.

Opened in 2011 by owner/teacher Donna Sullivan, Blissful Lotus offers a warm, safe, space for students to practice and relax. Donna teaches a gentle to moderate style of flow yoga focusing on connecting movement with breath. "Since I started yoga in mid-life, I have an acute sense of what it means to come to my mat from wherever I am at the moment and I tell whoever I can that it's never too late to start." In 2017 Blissful Lotus became an RYS and now also offers classes on yoga philosophy, meditation and teacher training.

It is our mission to serve the central New Hampshire area by sharing the practice of yoga with the community through classes taught by experienced, caring instructors. Students are given the space they need to experience the poses and the process of a yoga practice for themselves.

Beth Musto found her passion in the holistic field while exploring her own personal journey. She found Yoga as her movement of choice and decided to explore her practice deeper by attending the Abhyasa Yoga Institute for her 200 hr teacher-training certificate. RYT 200. While continuing her studies she also became a certified Wellness Coach graduating from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York City. Beth also loves to share her knowledge of energy work with others; she has her Master level in Mikao Usui Reiki and continues to study Intuitive Healing. Her passion is to share with others the secret to serenity, while having fun doing so. Beth's goal for her clients is to customize their sessions and listen to the bio-individuality in each person to enhance their gifts. Because we all have gifts to share!

Amy Greene
My journey into yoga began about eight years ago on the advice of my doctor, Colleen Nolan APRN. Colleen, also being my Mom's Doctor, encouraged me to try yoga before taking a medicinal route for anxiety and depression. Was she ever on the money.

Yoga was not an instant love for me.  I was intimidated, fearful, and did not have a single friend here who I could go with. It took a huge amount of courage, to go in and sign up.  The teachers I had and still practice under were real women: funny, serious, curvy, toned, younger, older, intuitive, warm and light-hearted. One thing they all had in common was that they cared about their students, recognized them, called them by name, asked questions and just had a connection to them.  I felt love from these strangers, and I was hooked.   I'm a forever student of yoga and try to further my education as opportunities arise, as well as popping into near and far studios in my free time.  My first 200hr training was with Christina Alexa through Abhyasa Yoga Institute, and my second 200hr training was with Melissa Scagliarini and Katie O'Connell at Vidya Vinyasa Yoga. I've also studied in Yin Yoga with Josh Summers and Thai Yoga with Karen Kenney.

Stephen Lewis
Stephen Lewis uses all the limbs of yoga to balance his activities and work. He is a lifelong runner and avid hiker, and includes positions and flows that benefit aerobic athletes in his personal practice and in his classes. Steve moves carefully through positions emphasizing breathing, good form and alignment, and the natural movement of the body. His classes use classic yoga positions (asanas) and breathing (pranayhama) to provide safe movement and to focus the mind. Standing, sitting, and balancing positions are included in ways that develop flexibility and strength, and are safe for joints. Steve is a registered yoga teacher and has completed his 200-hour training (RYT-200) with Donna Sullivan.

Edna Miller
Edna Miller began taking yoga classes in 2008 when the residual effects of Lyme disease prevented her from continuing as a competitive cyclist.Yoga has helped her to manage her stress while staying strong and flexible. She has studied holistic health and alternate forms of healing for over 20 years and is a certified level II Reiki practitioner with knowledge of chakras and energy systems in the body. Edna did her 200 hour training with Donna Sullivan at Blissful Lotus studio. She began yoga teacher training because she wanted to deepen her knowledge of yoga and further her own practice but discovered the joy of teaching yoga to others. She has been an educator in a local school for over 30 years. Her experience as an educator enables her to differentiate instruction in her yoga classes and explain things clearly. Edna lives on her small farm in Plymouth. She enjoys riding her horses and caring for her animals in her free time.

Mary Lambert
Yoga has been a part of my life for the last 5 years, and my practice has helped me grow stronger and more flexible, both in my everyday life and on the mat. Yoga inspires me to be more mindful throughout each and every day. In my classes, I create sequences that hopefully inspires people to deepen their practice. I love to help others learn how to strengthen their body, and nurture their mind, and soul with yoga. My hope is that when you step off your mat, you feel the way I do and you feel energized and balanced.

Leslie Fox
My journey with yoga started as a simple curiosity of the physical practice. I was looking for another form of exercise to participate in and the challenge of the poses intrigued me. I started attending classes at different studios and quickly became aware that yoga was more than a form of exercise. I can sincerely say that practicing yoga has been a "game changer" for me. Not only has my flexibility and strength increased tremendously but the stress relieving benefits of the breathing aspect of yoga has made my mind feel more at ease, focused and peaceful throughout the day. I am excited and enthused about sharing my knowledge and helping others integrate what we learn and experience on our mats into our day to day lives. In addition to my passion for yoga, I also love being outdoors and am an avid hiker !

What people say about us...

"I am so grateful for Blissful Lotus! I feel so blessed to have come so far in my practice - I have learned so much from you and continue to do so each week. I am impressed by the increased strength, balance, and agility in my everyday routine. I have learned to "let go" of being disappointed that my work and life schedule prevents me from attending more than one class a week at this point in time. But I derive such wonderful benefits from that one class! Thanks for all that you do."

"We have very much enjoyed our journey with you. Your growth as a teacher is a joy to be a part of. I enjoy, and benefit from, each and every class. As my physical issues increase with age, I appreciate being able to adapt my practice so that I can continue on. Your detailed cuing is very helpful and instructional. I love your music choices and that adds to the spiritual feeling in the room. Thank you for the difference you make in our lives."

"I like that there is a variety of classes and times. I find benefit from gentle class and enjoy the challenge from the moderate class. The cost is reasonable enough that I can afford to attend 2 classes a week if my schedule allows. I make your class a priority in my fitness routine. I can do yoga at home but it's not the same."

"Feels great
I always feel so good after practicing Yoga at Blissful Lotus Yoga. I feel challenged and supported when trying new poses or perfecting a pose. I loved the beginning yoga series! I have recommended it to a lot of people I know who have always wanted to try yoga but didn't feel comfortable just walking into a class."
