This program would be suitable for anyone who has had a steady yoga practice of at least a year.
We will also go beyond the poses and explore...
The first 90 minutes will be an asana (postural) practice that is a bit more challenging than the regular all levels classes. The last hour would be lecture and practice of the other parts of traditional yoga.
Both sessions include:
10/15-11/5 Peak poses
10/15 - flying split (deep hip, arm balance)
~meditation overview, with practice
10/22 - one legged king pigeon (deep hip, back bend)
~different types of meditation, with practice
10/29 - jumping forward and back (transition)
~using yoga science to prep for meditation
11/5 - handstand (inversion)
~mantras and meditation
11/19-12/10 Peak poses
11/19 - side crow (deep twist, arm balance)
~subtle body overview
11/26 - lotus (deep hip)
12/3 - side plank tree to three legged chataranga (transition)
12/10 - fore arm balance (inversion)
Registration is required. Payment is due before the first class.
Drop-ins are welcome for $30 per class. Or take a four week session for $110.
